The Very Scary Rhino

Even though he was surrounded by many other animals and visitors to the zoo, Rhino had never felt so alone. He even felt lonelier than he did when it was just him and his mother living on the savannah with no other animals for miles and miles. Rhinos are solitary animals and would rather keep to themselves. But this was different, Rhino missed his mother. She was not allowed to come with Rhino to the zoo because zoos aren’t as big as the savannah and there just wasn’t enough room for Rhino’s mother.
His mother told rhino that he would be safer at the zoo than he was on the savannah. Poachers made it dangerous to live on the savannah and Rhino’s mother wanted him to be safe. So, she kissed her baby goodbye and watched while he was taken far, far away to live in the zoo. Even though her baby would be living in a captivity far, far away from her, she knew he would be safer than if he stayed at home on the savannah.
